Theresa Shaw

Theresa Shaw is a fibre artist who uses a mix of new, vintage and repurposed textiles to create unique art pieces, from large format wall hangings to tiny teabag compositions.  She uses stitching to embellish, repair and transform everyday materials.

Theresa has been a sewist all her life, and turned to quilting in 2012 as a means of storytelling and healing. Her fibre art gives voice to feelings of loss and renewal, and the search for home and belonging.

Recently returned to the prairies, after 32 years, Theresa has established an arts practice and found her community.
